Release from me
Release from me
Thin inspiration on my tongue;
Be full or nigh
One and other have been sung
Fall far away
Or come so close;
The breath I breathe
Enter within me or be lost.
Which is it then?
Sweet light or pale wavering;
I reach to grasp
The tender avoidance of this sting.
Dominant rush to
Overtake this cold price;
To hover recklessly
Within my own lukewarm device.
Light, Light I feel you near
You bring me back…
Where life erupted in a spark
And sent my brain aloft to wrack.
Free me then
Liberate my soul
From indecision surging forth;
Tell me Truth, bring me whole.
