Remains
Everything stays though you have gone
The trees still stand with branches long
The music still plays as I light these candles
The memories still dance around me like tempting late-night songs
My lips still feel yours though I cannot feel your sweet tongue
And when I drive home it feels strange
Leaving that unknown last hug
The dust and leaves remain whistling outside my window
Waters seep through carpets and wooden chairs sink into a crescendo
The bedroom where we once danced, now engulfed in the flood
The trees still stand with branches long
The music still plays as I light these candles
The memories still dance around me like tempting late-night songs
My lips still feel yours though I cannot feel your sweet tongue
And when I drive home it feels strange
Leaving that unknown last hug
The dust and leaves remain whistling outside my window
Waters seep through carpets and wooden chairs sink into a crescendo
The bedroom where we once danced, now engulfed in the flood
