Night by stars that gleam above
Our heads, our hearts, our souls.
So whispering came a deep,
And in its path I heard it weep.
I believed its fellows came afar, just to see these stars.
As we sit hand in hand, hoping joy will come and band,
Remember these stars I see tonight,
Remember these lights: shining so bright.
I'll remember them, along with you,
And when I met you, you were true.
It came upon a midnight dream,
As everyone says, so to speak.
I wonder where, I ponder when this will happen to me.
So tonight: be it, please believe it,
And remember these stars I see.
So when I come back here, in a few years
I'll see what has happened: So lovely, my dear
Under these stars, you'd help me pray
To bring us all better days.
I saw that one shoot through the sky,
And then you were there, by my side.
