Nothing in front of me save the desert sand
It is winter now, and cold
Thinking of her warm soft places
The canyons walls of ice and stone
Narrowing as I continue forward
Seemingly pinching off human contact
Looking up at the hard blue sky
No longer any sign of her existence
Just contrails of memory
The wispy vapors disintegrating
Passing into the raw night air
The ethereal glimmer almost gone
Even so she remains allicient
Wanting to be warmed in her glow
To escape this desolate place
Aloneness closing in around me now
Devoid of her sensual radiance
She remains in my consciousness
Until I too become like the ice and rock
Only then will I not want her
