Remorse

Summer! Oh, it was summer!
It was your glimpse that I caught
You counterfeit Grim Reaper with your black coat
Tall, auburn, August guy is the epitome of Adonis
Yes it was you! It was you I ought to reminisce
As you walk by the shore when I woke up
Ogling at you for seconds
as I pick up the shawl you gave me last Christmas
It reminds me of how shoal my desire for you was
I use to call you Joe for your jaw-dropping look
Muscular, draw-back shoulders
and that strong jawline of yours that made me hook
I use to call you Paul for you stood like a sturdy pole
You haul me with your love which made me whole
You made me fall like a young foal
When the universe conspire with its law
I found my self standing too low
For I was blinded by your looks
that I neglected your flaw
Thinking of how you pained me just made my tears flow
You left me nothing but remorse
For I thought the love between us will set its course.
