Repressed Awakening

By Erin

Beneath the light, of the waxing crescent
Alone and not afraid
Dreaming once before, yet not the same

Midst the fog, in the valley below
Flashed forward memories
Deep, distant and long ago

Sunlight glistens, through the moss lined trees
Emotions fill the void
What once was at peace
Battlefield, attack, remorse, and repeat

All's been done
The past
Illuminated to see

If it wasn't for you, if it weren't for you
Can't you see, can't you see
I'd be fine, and never had hurt
Bang.
Right then, right there.
You. Ruined me
