Requiem

I try to remember you,
But I always get lost.
All of our memories
Are turned into dust.
Beautiful moments,
All of them with you.
I hold them for dear life
Before the dawn arrives.
Many years have passed
Without seeing your smile
Slowly, but surely,
It`s fading from my mind.
How was it, your voice?
How was it, your heart?
There`s so much missing
That I try to bring back.
I look up in the sky,
Maybe you are there.
Please, give me a sign,
Forgetting is a dread.
Like swallow-birds in autumn,
You end up flying away.
Leaving my poor, leaden heart,
Out there, alone in the dirt.
