Rest With Me

By X

When sin gets ahold of the life you live today. And it seems victory's tune is far away.
Turn your eyes upon the One, the Savior God's own Son, and the troubles you bear He will too.

When my heart is filled with pride, and contention there abounds, may my eyes be ever present on the Lord. He will never fail my soul, just as foes will not prevail. Bear your burden with the Lord and rest with me.

When at last victory's tune, is sung within your heart. Don't forget to thank the One from whom it came. Then go to a friend, low and in despair, and tell of the rest which you have found.

Rest with me, rest with me. Oh the soul so weary come and rest with me. For the Friend we serve, gives more than we deserve, so leave your care with the Lord and rest with me.
