Restoration

I stripped my heart bare
To rid myself of you
Picking apart the damaged pieces
I remove the broken trust
Left lying in the rubble
After discarding the apology never given
And sifting through the endless lies
All the pain and anger
I dump outside the door
As I begin to repair all that's left
I hear you knocking
Expecting me to once again let you in
But not this time
The locks have been changed
There is nothing left for you here
