restricted love

I have a mate
who stays up very late
he works so hard it almost makes me faint
i hope he turns into a saint
but i aint that great.
so he keeps doing his thing and i keep doin mine
and his attitude is distant majority of the time.
the life that he lives i dont really know
he shut the door to the windows of his soul
its double locked with a gate and im just a tired old mate
so until he gets the key back that was lost where ever it could be
i stay just a speck-tader on the empty dead end street.
