Reverse time
Put that blood back in your veins,
Let those first thin lines fade.
Don't cut any deeper,
Don't have another drink,
Another line,
You used to run
But your lungs are far too weak,
Your soul has dissipated along with your tears,
But how real are your fears?
How does it feel,
To be comfortably unreal?
You walked home in the dark-
The empty street,
Heat on your bare feet.
You smoked cigarettes
And drank beer out of cans
And joked about the nobodies you were becoming.
Relapse or rewind,
Reverse time.
But this time don't you dare let the monsters win.
