Rise

Raise me up beyond the Plymouth
Beyond the clouds, beyond the thinnest
Far above the pedestal I've never been set on
With the wings that I've never been given
Ascend beyond the ruins and rubble
That I myself have then created
With backward glances, over-evaluations
Burnt bridges, now crumbling ashes
Chains dangle from my wrists and ankles
Separated from their roots
That planted me to fate distasteful
They struggle to reunite with my prison
