Rocky Roads of life

By

Sand, asphalt, yellow lines
College, army, baker
Lemonade, juicebox, wines
A few roads one can take.

Dark, bumpy ,winding
Lead to an unknown destiny.
Result, misery or inspiring
Hoping, it leads to serenity.

As a fragile flower,
One will wilt or stand proud
And say, "I have power"
The road will not be my shroud

Rocky roads can
Squash us like a bug
or
Strengthen us like a steel pan
