Romance

Romance

Lips barely parted
Want reflected in blue eyes
Words of little use

Mounting desire
Heightened senses overwhelmed
Stirring mind and flesh

Memories and thoughts
Inflame, arouse and ignite
Even when apart

Desire revealed
Bashful attempts to conceal
Predestined to fail

As a growing fire
Consuming and urging forth
The flames lick and dance

Helpless to resist
Increasing intensity
Provoked from within

Unimagined bliss
Spirits soar unencumbered
Untethered and free

Heavy lidded eyes
Bask and loll in sweet trance
See little, feel all

A first time romance
All the world appears brighter
The meaning deeper

Anticipation
With little experience
Undreamed of surprise
