Dear Rose,
You were once so vibrant,
You once shone through the night,
You were once so alive,
You once looked so beautiful in the light,
Your red once glowed,
You once sparkled in the sun,
You were once full of pride,
You once could have no harm done.
Poor Rose,
What has happened?
Why did the hill suddenly fall down?
Why did they harm you?
Why did they pull you up from the ground?
Why did they pass you around?
And not let you protrude towards the sky?
Why won't they answer your questions?
Why must you continue to ask why?
Why did they take your shine?
Can't they see you were once so true?
Oh, Poor Rose, why won't they just let you be you?
