Rose Tainted Lips

Your kiss against my lips,
said it all,
as you let go of my hand,
and watched me fall.

The rose petals fell across the black still waters,
of the lake,
in which you left me suffocating in slowly,
just to watch you go.
The red color on my lips,
same color as the poisonous flower,
you have picked the petals loose,
to drop them over top of me.

The rose it pierces,
my body with it's thorns,
pulling me down deeper,
to the bottom of the lake.

It is your hand I reach for,
as I sink below to the uncharted,
unknown depths of this poison filled lake.

Like the beauty rose I have wilted from within.
