I got nothing
I can say nothing
without you life is lifeless
Treading water on a mill
falling through the cracks, in time
I'll know the truth of what matters most
and what you said before you left
I held my breath
and passed out wanting more of you

I missed you
I said the last words for the last time
Now I must go back to the beginning to finish what we started
that day you were born from dust out of ash
I gave the last of what I had to the other lady, Mary
She held you tight, as I wept
I prayed with you for forgiveness
for my sadness is relentless

All is forgiven or forgotten
In a matter of time
I'm in line to be with you
Waiting for my turn to tell you goodnight
and hold you tight in mourning

My God be with you
