Route to the Heart

I gave you the route to my heart
but you lost the map.
It just ended up in a bottle
made of broken glass.
It sunk down to sea
and you'll never expect me
to help you find a broken piece.

I let you shape my life into something else.
Expected you to be
my everything but let me
down like society often does.
A killer in disguise just like veratrum,
attracting all the flies sadly I was one
to trust the beauty
yet it seems
that beauty is a deadly fiend.

I remember telling you a lie
about single tears
and how i dropped them in the ocean
watch them disappear. told you the day
you find it i'll stop loving you
good thing it was a fable,
just pretended truth.

Only time will tell what's left for me
revealing itself like evergreens
if destiny works out for me
you'd be the first to know i'm free.
