Run Fast Little Feet

Your intensity was sharp, so ecstatic, so sad.
Tempered through time, deadened emotions you had.
Caught up in life, in movement, in flatter,
Awakened to find all that matters, has shattered.

It's okay, ou talk yourself down, be strong.
Your lungs can't breathe fully and it all feels so wrong.
When should you feel if life has to happen?
How does one function with a heart that is open?

Keep your mouth closed, stay quiet, lips tight.
Hold it all in, breathe shallow, that's right.
Make your face blank, eyes vacant, a statue.
Run fast little feet or the feelings might catch you.

Flitter, flutter, jump from thing to thing.
Don't stay too long, or you might be seen.
A way to survive, in a world full of frenzy,
Is not to stand out, but blend in with the many.

You might be humiliated if you are heard.
Keep yourself moving, fly off like a bird.
Make your face blank, eyes vacant, a statue.
Now run fast little feet or the feelings might catch you.
