Running From The Light
I woke up in the dark today.
All the light had gone away.
And in the dark I felt at ease:
Quiet, peace, no one to please.
You joined me in that darkened place,
Held me close and took a taste.
And in the dark we did delight,
We did not search to find the light.
Soon the light did find its way,
But we just laughed and ran away.
And in the dark delighted still,
With no need, nor void to fill.
The light we did not need for sight.
We used our hands we used our might.
And in the dark found hidden light,
It came from us, it shown so bright!
