Running to Myself

And then there was light,
luminous beams of radiant gleam,
receiving me joyously into the yonder...
glamorous glimmers and brilliant shimmers.

Laden shackles on weary bones,
muffled voices sang teary songs,
as seductive sparks led me on-
deeper and deeper into the unknown.

Beyond the bounds,
a glare so profound.
Then, revelation all at once,
dancing from the deep.

The light was non-existent.
only a mirror
reflecting my identity,
which now shone clearer.
