Sacred Sanity

Sanity, Saint Sanity
Oh come, come and deliver me...
Oh come, come and free me
For I am paralyzed in prayer.
My head is bowed and broken,
Around my neck hangs God in death:
A crucifix,
A token.
And from these bleeding lips, I spew
the Devil's words unspoken
Woe, Beast of Man
Has taken command;
He has pierced our minds and our souls.
Yet God in His wisdom and love
Understands and cups our blood
In the palms of His hands.
Oh Sanity, Saint Sanity,
Oh come, come and free me...
Oh come, come and deliver me.
