Sad World

Pausing a moment under a flickering streetlight
Immersed in sites and sounds of the city night
Many souls passed by, but none threw a glance
All seemed trapped in a mysterious, sad trance
Earth felt so gloomy, with sorrow and pain
Not one bright star-only dark skies and rain
Has man given up on his race,
Or perhaps the devil is setting the pace?
Maybe God got tired of people losing faith in war
So sad to see so much sin and families torn
In the stillness of that moment, the problem is clear
Rekindle our faith and bring our loved ones near
