Safe House

You are a safe house for my dying heart.
You are a shelter for my decay.
You are home for me, the unworthy. You are the string to never fray.
When all was broken and grey, when all I could see was the rain,
you took me in.
Ethereally, your essence stole me.
You took me to a better place.
