Salutations

Salutations my warm loyal friend
Bring on the warmth of the changing new day
Each morning you leap up to stand tall in the sky,
The cold air of the previous night always gives way
Melting off the gentle grip of the new season's frost
Higher, yet lower, each morning you rise
Always unwrapping the new morning's surprise
Earliest morning's air is cool while the calm water is still warm
The gently floating mist is magical as you burst through to the farm
Beams of your warm light splendidly hit the far shore
Waking the Bald Eagles so as to stretch out their wings and soar
You rise now so gently to earths lob sided top end
Noticeably the shadows you cast are not nearly as long as before
Quickly the evenings come sooner with each passing trend
Please rest easy this cold winter season
And salutations indeed to my warm loyal friend
