The thick boughs stretch out to her sky,
Draping a veil of the brightest darkness,
Offering shelter from the darkest of light.
A carpet of soft leaves furnish this home-
This sweet hiding place
For the fairies and gnomes.
The earth spirits abound dance between her trees,
Weaving silent songs
And invoking the still breeze.
The Goddess shines down from her star-sprinkled sky,
Kissing all of her sleeping children,
Composing the soft night.
Casting her lunar rays upon her earth-
Such darkness and tranquility
Within Mother Nature's hearth.
