Sanctuary

A whole new orbit,
Shining like bits in the dark.
Angels in the sky not far from us,
Distant places with towers of light, dark and beauty.

Centuries of perfect stillness
And generous goodness.
Air full of the smell of peaches
And a hum.

A perfect spectacle of Summer.
Orchards of dusk,
A temple of daylight,
And a clock of directions and years.
