Sanctuary

Curl my toes in the sand
As I keep from tumbling
Into my darkest self.
Salt the sea with my tears.
Pull me from the cruel void,
It threats to overcome.
I've lost some of myself.
I don't know what remains.
I lost pieces of self,
Please, find the broken shards.
Do you hear? Do you see?
Can you feel my heart race?
You take my hand in yours
And your eyes are pools of
Brimming tranquility.
So my gaze lingers there.
I am slipping away,
Do you have safe abode?
You hide me in your love,
My one sanctuary.
I step from my fierce storm
Into your calm embrace.
You wipe away my tears,
Drawing my eyes to yours.
I let myself be yours.
