Sand Icles

To look out on an ocean view
To know that it might swallow you
I kick, shout and cry
I am lost in this ocean tide

Then I awake to a beach by myself
Labyrinth of Labyrinth spit me out
I run on icy beaches covered
with spineless rocks crawling toward heaven

To look at the setting sun
Sand dunes a blaze for miles to come
I miss the way we played in the dark
A curling laugh and wading smile

Now I am alone on this icy night
tripping on memories that escape the light
To be worshiped by you alone
away from distractions of worlds and place

But then again
The silence is early
The thoughts cunning an disturbing
I think I may sit a while
