Sandstone

Time has become a moat defying chivalry
One that drowns all Samaritans
Lost in sordid violence are our good deeds
Only for profit is the other cheek turned
The media is a rabid breed of vultures
Yet today they no longer hover
Their bloody appetite defies stealth
Leaving only the quickest story true
Our best virtue offends a minority
One that somehow gets etched in stone
