Sans February

What if January came and went And walked right into March
Valentine cards went unsent As leaves appeared on larch
Spring flowers all came into bloom And everything turns green
But Cupid sits up in his room And never will be seen
His arrows would remain unshot His bow would lose it's string
The days would start to heat up hot As Winter turned to Spring
Florists would sit idly by And jewelers close the door
Broken hearts might never cry Having never known amour
Without that special day so bright We'd never fall in love
Never look at stars at night Or hear the cooing dove
The sweet smell of fresh cut grass Would always fill the air
But young and old would only pass And never stop to stare
Into each other's eyes that shine And walk out hand in hand
They'd never say, will you be mine Or dance across the sand
Without that silly holiday Would life remain the same
Or would we all just wait for May And play a different game
