Santa Barbara

The gagging sea upon its shore secretes
A spewling vomit of bubbling spit.
Black-rimmed lips; a sluggish wave excretes
The stinking dredge from a brainless fit.
Oozing, paralyzing; black slime crawls
Across the gritty wetness of the bay.
Scattered bodies lie like broken dolls
Swollen with rain and rotted with decay.
Death reeks. the ocean washes it away.
Exhausted victims wait to be set free.
Attempts to plug the rupture are delay-
ed and litter chokes the tide with debris.
and Holmes stately mansion now broken
Makes words idle and better unspoken.
