If days were women
Id choose Saturday
Id love waking up to her
and laying beside her
as the morning melts away
in mutual affinity
she would know freedom
and spend it on me
and we'd walk the streets
her hand in the crook of my elbow
and we'd get jealous looks
from unsatisfied men
sitting alongside
their Mondays or Thursdays
and she and I
would only have good times
we'd fall asleep
far into the night
limbs entwined
and we wouldnt have to worry
about getting up early
