Scenes from a Pandemic: Three Haikus

New day sun, shiny-white
shimmering across the bay
as distant seals bark

Dogs splash, bob and shake -
Cacophony in the surf
from fleeing gulls' squeals

Weathered beachcombers,
propped upon the sun-drenched rocks
rest, languorously
