Sea of Pain

Waiting. Expecting.
Into me you stare,
And yet I lack your touch.
Gazing back, I yearn.
Vast mystery is mine.
Without you in my waters,
My existence softly mourns.
Too dangerous for discovery?
Too much for your embrace?
If only you dared enter,
To test my depth of soul,
You might find the answer,
The lost might yet be found.
