Sea salt

I'm afraid of the sea, it swallows up everything

It reminds me of the rain, washing every unclean thing away

I'm not ready to be forgotten
I have so much to do, to change

The sea calls me, it waits

My feet feel hot standing on the sand
My eyes are blinded by the sky that reflects the salty sea water

"I'm not ready"

Tears stream down my face
I take a step, then another intil the scolding water streams over my skin

"I'm not ready"

slowly my skin turns to flecks of sand as the water consumes me.
