Sea sick

Your golden skin reflected the sun without fail
Your blue eyes were oceans, and if you looked close enough
You could see the waves
Your voice would twang like an acoustic guitar
In the hands of a master
You smelled crisp and warm at the same time
And your lips were ever so gentle
Kissing you was euphoric
I open my eyes in the morning
I’m cold
I wish you would have told me
If you were ever really there at all
