Seashore

Never have I ever felt so small beside the Atlantic.
Watching the waves roll in violently;
Only to reduce themselves into a gentle kiss upon the shore.
A perpetual kiss, an everlasting affair;
Inseparable, yet so completely separate.
The dull roar of the sea.
No matter how rough no matter how agitated;
The strong steady shore always seems to pacify.
With every gentle touch;
The persistent water recedes slowly satisfied.
Such resolve to calm the mighty Ocean.
Never complaining never to speak ill of one another.
This eternal matrimony never to cease;
As long as time will allow.
This unbreakable bond.
The likes of which most of us can only conjure in our dreams.
