Seasonal Employment

Dreaming I can reach the sky
Floating like heavenly angels so high
Above the billowing cotton clouds
That hover over the people crowds

I tip toe with dance delight
Around the stars that shine so bright
And fall like flakes so snowy white
In wintertime down mountain heights

Landing on fresh layers of snow
That blanket the earth down below
With sprouting green grass
In springtime show

Where raindrops fall like pelts in pints
Upon the streets of city lights
On building blocks in rows they stand
Created by mere mortal hands

I deem to say with season sweet
I proudly pound the concrete
With high hopes of getting hired
But soon someday will be retired

Be it winter, summer
Spring or fall
I anxiously
Await the call
