Seasons arise within my heart, just like the cold wind blows down the street,
Deadening summer’s humid heat,
Bringing families together;
We welcome Autumn’s crisp air,
Every tree in sight has a leaf to spare,
Leaves bury sacred treasures waiting to be found.
Creating jolly, colorful mounds . . .
As children jump, they squeal with laughter,
Not caring what will happen after.
Then after Autumn comes Winter’s reign,
Which can be a foe or a friend,
Sometimes bringing snow that is pretend;
February snow brings many joys,
No school for all the girls and boys;
Then once again will come summer’s reign
Students hope it will not be plain,
Parents on the other hand feel they’ll go insane!
