Second Chance

She was afraid that it was over
She could not see a second chance
It was a nightmare she could not escape
No prospect of a second dance
The months continued to pass
Still, a voice could not he heard
Her memory slowly fading
Fate becoming more absurd
Then there came a moment
The clouds separated to expose the light
The day had finally come
No more 24 hours of night
Once again she could look into the eyes of opportunity
Down into its core she then retrieved
A coin, not of luck, but of a blessing
A second chance to believe.
