A girl with a pretty face is all they see.
Not someone hurting trying to be free.
All the boys gawk and stare,
There are envious girls everywhere.
She laughs and shines so full of joy.
But deep inside there is something no one knows.
The pain that lives deep below.
How isolated she is from this world.
Knowing boys want her for one thing.
She cannot trust them, their intentions too distinct.
The silence speaks the truth, it will always come.
So all she can do is cry until it's done.
Hope one day someone will see past her appearance.
But it is too late, the damage is appearing.
To the world we know she has succumbed.
Crying out for someone to believe.
A girl with a pretty face is all they see.
But little does the world know...
The girl crying out is me.
