Secrets of an Onion

Onions
Peel and peel
Back until it cannot hide the center
Anymore.

Each and every unveiling
Brings tears to the eyes,
Raining down
Upon the counter.

And when everything
Is out there,
Nothing can turn
It back.

All you can do
Is cry
At all your secrets
Being exposed
And your lies unable to be maintained.
