See Me

You see, I am different
In every sense of the word
My physical characteristics are unique
Not sure if you have heard

But I’m certain that you’ve seen because you stare
You laugh, you point, and you joke
But through it all, you know what? I just don’t care

Words have power, so watch what you say and do
I love who I am, but I have feelings too

For I was fearfully and wonderfully made, make no mistake
My Lord and Savior made me this way

I am here for a greater purpose, which is not to please you
So my destiny is not determined by people like you

I don’t need your friendship or for you to approve
The way that I look and the things that I do

Remember, you can look, but don’t touch
Just want to make you aware
It’s okay to see me, but please don’t stare
