See Ya Later, Alligator

As I was canoeing down the swamp,
I heard a big chomp,
And I look over to my right.

To my surprise,
There was a set of green eyes,
A gator ready to bite.

As he swam up to my canoe,
I threw my shoe,
In hopes he’d swim away.

But instead of leaving me be,
He violated my safety,
Quote the gator “you must not stay.”
