Self-Sacrifice

Watching it fall,
Ignoring every phone call.

Trying not to frown,
While I slowly sit down.

Staring at the bloody blade,
As everything begins to fade.

Doing it all for a friend,
So she don't have to end.

Her own career,
And watch everything she accomplished disappear.
