Selfishness

I thought I could do it
But I was wrong
Because of you
The good died.

I thought I could do it
In a few seconds
Just to prove a point
Until death visited.

I thought I could do it
On the mountain top
Adjacent the stream
Until the snake's visit.

I thought I could do it
But I was wrong
Because of selfishness
Everything embraced the valley.
