Sensory Overload

Eyes burn with the heat of a thousand years
Ears ring from the sound of the impossible
Hands tremble with the fear that you could be next
Shoulders sag as life's punches have left you devoid of air
Knees wobble as the daggers of despair strike
Minds catch fire with thoughts of should've, would've, could've
Feet buckle under the overwhelming weight of uncertainty
Toes are dragged unwillingly against the sands of time
