Serendipity

rules and regulations
the way things are supposed to be
I can't help but always wonder
why the thought of you, always drifts back to me

the stars are not alined
our worlds aren't meant to be one
but the frequency that draws me to you
no matter how hard i try, cannot be undone

like a fish is yearning for water
like a moth is drawn to a flame
My mind tells me to forget you
yet my heart refuses to be tamed

I need to release this longing
i must simply let you go
i just know in this world, in this life
our souls aren't meant to learn and grow

words can't describe what you mean to me
my heart knows that what i feel is true
I'm complacent with the belief and longing
that this crazy, serendipitous world will someday bring me back to you
