Set Me Free

I am Rapunzel, locked in a room alone.
This world my face I have not shown.
My skin has yet to touch the sun.
My long blonde hair braided into one.
I won't go outside, not for it to be undone.
I am a rare gem,
a godly young woman.
I am tall and I am slim.
I paint all day my dreams on the wall.
I await for someone to call.
But I just sit on my bed,
Locked in my room alone.
My skin and my face have yet to touch the sun. I am Repunzel, please set me free. I want my braid to be undone, I want the sun to touch my skin, I want to be free, set me free.
